Merry Christmas markets of Germany

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year (aside from the cold weather). I’m sure it’s also many of your favorites as well. It’s funny how everyone can be a bit friendly, more giving and patient during the holiday season. And of course there’s the shopping for gifts, which by itself can be very much fun.

In Germany you’ll find Christmas markets set up in all the major cities and in many smaller villages and hamlets as well. Some of these Christmas markets have been going on for hundreds of years, so you see, America did not invent Christmas consumerism :)

If you want something a bit more relaxed and fun for your Christmas shopping this year (or any other), why not head to Germany for the holiday season and celebrate “Frohe Weihnachten”.
